The north coast is wilder than the south: dark rocks, red earth and headlands. Fornells, on its long sheltered bay, is the fishing village famous for lobster stew; to the east lies the slate cape of Favàritx.
Fornells
Es Cranc serves caldereta de langosta; the round tower guards the bay.

Favàritx
The lighthouse stands at the end of the natural park; in summer take the bus from Maó.
Lunch in Fornells is a ritual.
The headlands
Sanitja and its watchtower are on the way to Cap de Cavalleria.
Our advice: come for lunch, stay for the sunset at Sanitja.
